Bridesmaid dresses are just one of those items that you always vow to wear again, but never actually do. Most of these dresses end up stuffed in a closet somewhere gathering dust. Of note are those dresses that were a product of theme weddings.
However, for those items which are borderline presentable, here are a few things you can do to make them “everyday chic.”
With the right kind of modification, you can even wear an old bridesmaid dress to the office!
CUT IT, CROP IT, CHOP IT OFF – One of the easiest things you can do to a bridesmaid’s dress is to cut the length of it. Turn a satin gown into a cocktail dress. If you donít use cocktail dresses that often, you can chop off the lower part of that dress and turn it into a skirt for the office.
If you are not a big fan of skirts, you can cut off the top part and wear it as a blouse or a dressy top. Pair it with an office jacket to give it a formal look. You can also wear the top paired with jeans on a night out.
For tube top corseted dresses, you can cut off the top and use it as a fun corset. If your dress has sleeves, you can modify the sleeves to make it look less like a bridesmaid’s outfit.

My wedding is months later. Going downtown and hunting bridesmaids dresses in every shop and boutique makes me bored and tired. What’s worse, expensive bridesmaids dresses are everywhere.
